Saturday, Sep 18th - 2nd Annual Wichita Play Day
spacer
The second event is at Watson Park from 1 to 4 pm. Last year they had over 6,000 in attendance. This is a free family event to help families celebrate the importance of family fun and taking time to play. The City is expecting an even greater crowd this year. They have asked for parking assistance from CERT members to help ensure that parking goes smoothly. They have several gates that will be open and they need people stationed to direct cars on where to go and to monitor the volunteer/handicap parking lot, as well as spread members throughout the park to direct cars to open spots. They are also looking for anyone that would be interested in helping the games and other activities that will be going on. If you're available to help with the parking for this event please let me know or if you're interested in helping with other activities let me know and I'll get you in touch with the proper individuals.

Saturday, Sep 18th - Fall Festival at National American University
spacer
I was just contacted late this afternoon about the third event which is a Fall Festival at National American University. They asked if CERT would be interested in setting up a display booth in the vendor area, as well as assisting with parking/traffic control. The times on this event would be 10 am to 6 pm. They really need to know Monday afternoon if we want to do the booth display so if anyone is interested in helping at the vendor booth please let me know by 3:30 Monday afternoon. With regards to parking/traffic control for this event you can let me know later.
