We have monthly team meetings with every training session. They are on the 3rd Thursday of
the month at 6:30 pm and repeat on the 4th Saturday of the month at 9:00 am.

CERT - Tornado Response Needs - Ongoing...
United Way has been so very impressed with the job that we have been doing. They are not sending volunteer groups out unless they have a CERT member accompanying the team. Remember we are not just about responding immediately after the disaster.
We have been meeting at the Oaklawn Activity Center located at 4900 S. Clifton (there is a red United Way Tornado banner out along the street). Keep in mind that we're willing to take what you can give us at this time. Remember to wear your CERT vest, long pants, closed toed shoes or boots (NO sandals), work gloves and your hard hat or other hat. You may also need a jacket for in the morning, and remember the sunscreen. PLEASE if you are available to help, even for a few hours, let me know as soon as possible. I would prefer that you call my cell phone at 641-6607 to let me know if you are available so I can give Mark a go/no go as soon as possible. Thanks ~ DeAnn

JUNE
June 1st - River Festival Parade
We have been asked to walk in the parade so mark your calendars. The parade will be held the evening of June 1st. Details to follow.
June 1-9 - River Festival Paddle Boats
We have been asked to assist with the paddle boats for River Festival again this year (June 1-9). Duane has informed me that this year we will actually be south of the Douglas Street bridge. He also indicated that currently the river is extremely low (river is currently damned to lower the water level) and it might be a good idea if you help the event (and especially if you drive the boat) to check out the terrain of the river and see where the "low" and "high" spots are located.
Only those individuals that attend trainings, meetings and exercises will receive their badge.
Remember that as a Level III member you have committed to attend a minimum of 20 hours training per year
and attend 1 meeting per quarter.
